tmux messes up my backspace character - narkive
Permalink. It seems that tmux translates the erase character, but it should not do. that. In my xterms I have set the option "Backarrow key" which causes the key. labeled "backspace" to generate an actual backspace (control-H) character. Correspondingly, I have set "stty erase ^H". Inside tmux, if I hit Backspace, I get a DEL character (^?).

tmux and login shells - mailing.openbsd.tech.narkive.com
Tmux already has an internal login_shell variable, which is used in the tmux.c/shell_exec() function, but not in window.c/window_pane_spawn(). This variable seems to be properly modified when tmux is called as a login shell. Shells shouldn't (*imho*) be spawned as login shells by default. This could be a benefit for slow machines users (as /etc/profile and ~/.profile might be …

Importing tmux into base - mailing.netbsd.tech.userlevel.narkive.com
The tmux mailing list which would help in fixing any issues we might experience. tmux is in the base system of FreeBSD and OpenBSD, and such a utility (well, GNU screen) is in the common toolkit of any administrator. I personally find myself installing tmux (or screen) as the very first package on any new system, and I am sure I am not alone. A quick search shows that the …

Replacing window(1) with tmux - tech-userlevel.netbsd.narkive.com
The only issue is that tmux currently requires ncurses, but it only uses it for obtaining terminal capabilities. I've prepared a small patch to convert it to using termcap instead that applies againts pkgsrc -current here [1]. I've sent a similar patch upstream. Using tmux instead of screen in devstack
I use tmux (an alternative to screen) a lot and I believe lot of other developers use it. I have been using devstack for some time now and would like to add the option of using tmux instead of screen for creating sessions for openstack services. I couldn't find a way to do that in current implementation of devstack. I have submitted an initial blueprint here: …

The case, and you get no working response, there's a tmux user list as well with a decent community you might look to. Mosh, iTerm and tmux
Server. I then run 'tmux -CC' on the server. iTerm on the mac detects that tmux has started in control mode and so starts behaving as a tmux frontend. It generally opens a new window for a new tmux session, but you can ask it to attach to a previous session (whereupon it will open new local windows for each tmux window). You can then use normal ...

Tmux-style window resizing in vim? - vim-use.narkive.com
Tmux resizes as if you were pushing/pulling at the border of the current window in the direction that you're trying to resize, via the hjkl keys. So if I have two windows stacked on top of each other, and the top pane has focus, hitting <C-b>j pushes the split downwards, growing the top window & shrinking the bottom. If the bottom pane had focus, <C-b>j would pull the split …
